Fulham Palace
Fulham Palace is one of London's hidden gems. Originally a country retreat for the Bishops of London. This Georgian and Tudor Palace is an oasis of quiet in the hustle of the capital. It boasts extensive grounds, a historic botanical garden, walled kitchen garden with vinery, and lovely terrace with a great cafe/restaurant. Fulham Palace and grounds have recently undergone a complete restoration. It's a beautiful place and well worth a visit.
Fulham Palace is within easy walking distance of Putney Bridge Tube and we have hired several rickshaws to transport visitors from Putney Bridge, through the park to the Palace gates.
Many bus route pass by Bishops Park.
Ample on-street parking is (usually) available in Bishops Avenue and surrounding streets."

RGA's Big Draw 2011
On Saturday October 15th Reading Guild of Artists will be holding this year's BIG DRAW in the Forbury Gardens. The bandstand will be the central point but the focus will be on the surrounding buildings, trees, walkers, dogs and lion – which passers-by will be invited to draw with materials provided free. Help will be on hand from members of the Guild and the finished work might be a panorama looking like the Bayeux tapestry in the Museum! Last year over 100 people took part and many of the drawings done then will be on display (in the bandstand and HomeSense opposite) …… until they are replaced by the new work DONE BY YOU. The show runs from 10am until 3.30pm and is for all ages.
